United States History II
In the U.S. History II course we explore the time period from 1890 to 1945. At home in the States, Americans grapple with the social, political, and economic issues caused in part by our rapid industrial growth in the 19th Century. From the Progressive Era, through the Roaring Twenties and the Great Depression of the 1930s, our states and the federal government struggled to develop a democracy that fit the modern world. During the first half of the 20th Century the U.S. added six new amendments to the U.S. Constitution to enhance the laws that govern our country.
