http://www.loc.gov/index.html The Library of Congress is the nation's oldest federal cultural institution and serves as the research arm of Congress. It takes some patience to search, but this is the largest library on the world!
http://historyteacher.net/ This site is run by an AP teacher at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, NY. She has a great collection of PowerPoint presentations and links to everything history.
